Unity despite the pandemic

Body
The more time I spend in Sealy, the more I learn about how amazing this place is and how blessed I am to get to be a part of it. The start of the school year has been another great example of the qualities I admire about our community and Sealy ISD. As you are aware there has been a lot of attention on all things COVID-19 over the past few months.

My roommates’ wedding

Body
Two weekends ago, I had the honor and privilege of serving as a groomsman and watching my college roommate marry the girl he had been dating since our sophomore year. It was luck that led me to rooming with Jake in the first place, I made fun of him for falling asleep in a mock class during a prospective student visit on campus, and as we got to talking afterward, we found we had mutual friends and grew up not far away from each other.

Things are changing on Main Street

Body
Progress! Things are constantly changing downtown, some in big chunks and others slowly beneath the surface. Just this year we have had six new additions to our Main Street: Betsy’s Bakery and Café, Graze and Peace, Sealy Nutrition, The SlussShack Daiquiris to go, Chevron with 7’s Market, and most recently the Sealy Appliance Center with a few more in the works to come soon! With all these new places, our focus goes to providing adequate parking (which will always need to be on our radar) and keeping these places supported by our locals.
