The Sealy City Council awarded its (HOT) revenue to organizations during Thursday’s special meeting held at the Hill Center. In total, Sealy awarded $137,246 in HOT revenue in the form of one-time event/ project grants and annual programs during the meeting.
City Council approves final vote on 2022-2023 budget

During the Sept. 21 special meeting of the Sealy City Council, no one signed up to speak at the hearing, which would’ve been the time to speak on behalf of the budget, Sealy Mayor Carolyn Bilski said.

Former Bellville grad signs with CFL’s Tiger-Cats

A former Bellville offensive lineman has signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced last week the football club has signed two American players, including quarterback David Watford (pictured) and offensive lineman Travis Vornkahl.
Rinn focusing on educating voters

In anticipation of the 2022 election, Austin County Elections Official Kim Rinn is working hard to ensure the next generation of voters is educated about the importance of voting. Rinn will be going to Sealy and Bellville High School to educate students about voter registration and the importance of voting.
