The newly formed Local Government Corporation created in May, and previously reported on by The Sealy News, the 1093 Railto-Trails Local Government Corporation (LGC), held its fourth official meeting on July 25 at Wallis City Hall. The meeting was a workshop session on the Nation Park Service Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance (RTCA) program. Members of the park service were present.

The Austin County Commissioners Court approved the proposed county budget for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 on July 25. Very few budget line items were changed drastically, however, salaries were increased, as was the amount budgeted for gasoline for the sheriff’s department and emergency medical services.
