One of the bigger items of contention coming out of Austin this year comes in the form of school vouchers and education savings accounts being pushed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott. Last week, Sealy ISD approved a resolution expressing their concern over the school voucher and education savings accounts items being debated by the Texas Senate and House of Representatives.

All the early votes have been cast and now voters will have one final day to allow their voice to be heard in Austin County elections. Voting in the countywide election will take place Saturday, May 6 from 7 a.m.
