LOS FRESNOS — Governor Greg Abbott joined AT&T to distribute laptops to Los Fresnos Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) students. “The reason why we’re here is because 150 seniors have demonstrated that they’re either ready to go to college or ready to go straight into a career,” said Governor Abbott. “Over the past two years, we’ve invested $7 billion in career and technical education, knowing how important that is for our students, for their future. We are going to be handing out laptops to 150 seniors, seniors who have demonstrated the brand of excellence you are able to achieve here in the state of Texas.”

The second volume in the Undertold Texas Series from Texan Mike Vance shines light on 48 lesser known tales from all parts of the Lone Star State. It is Undertold Texas Volume 2, and it presents unvarnished stories about people and places that will fascinate all Texans, old and new. The 48 chapters span more than 400 years of history and run the gamut of subjects. Many of the smaller topics illuminate much bigger context of the times in which they take place. As with the first volume, there are also several surprisingly contemporary lessons to be gleaned from this often overlooked history. It all makes the perfect package for March which is Texas History Month.

Deathbed visions are another end-of-life phenomenon in which patients have and act upon visions of people not physically present. Over and again, hospice caregivers report patients experiencing deathbed visions, which are confirmed by multiple studies from around the world, indicating that about 40 percent of families report a loved one as having had an end-of-life experience.
