The unofficial results from the March primary election showed that Austin County voters followed along with the state’s lead on a majority of the state-wide races Looking at the unofficial results, numbers showed: In the race for Rep. U.S. Representative District 27, Mike Cloud received 2,637 votes to Chris Hatley’s 1,469 votes In the highly contested attorney general’s race, Austin County votes favored Mayes Middleton with 1,548 votes to Chip Roy’s 1,442 votes and Aaron Reitz’ 1,058 votes.
