Please be advised that the city of Sealy Health Inspector has inspected the following establishments for food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and sanitary conditions: 1. Fuel Maxx #120 (2446 FM 1094) – 2/27/26 – 1. Ready to open. Grade – 100 2. Dippin Donuts (418 Hwy 90 W) – 3/6/26 – 1. The baking area in the back needs to be cleaned up. Grade – 98 3. Domino’s Pizza (2329 Hwy 36 S) – 3/6/26 – 1. Clean and organized. Grade – 100 4. Bertalotto’s Pizza (111 B N Meyer) – 3/6/26 – 1. Must remove shelving and mop by the back door. Grade – 99 5. Subway #12984 (2382 Hwy 36 S) – 3/9/26 – 1. The temp table on the left is working. The temp table on the right is out. It will be replaced by Wednesday 3/11/2026. Will go back Thursday to recheck temp tables. Grade – 93 6. Big 99 Cent Store (218 Fowlkes St) – 3/17/26 – 1. All shelves must be cleaned. All inventory must be 6” off the floor. The entire floor in the store must be cleaned. In between the soda cooler and window in front of store must be cleaned in the corner. The bottom of the coolers on the outside must be cleaned. In the back of the store by the ice machine must be cleaned. There is trash, crates and junk in the back of the store, must be removed. The bathroom is very dirty and must be cleaned. Must get fire extinguishers up to date. Store is CLOSED. Grade – 0 ** Big 99 Cent Store 3/19/26 – 1. Back open. Grade – 100 7. Hinze BBQ (2101 Hwy 36 S) – 3/17/26 – 1. The cooking area needs a deep clean to remove all the grease and old food under the cooker, temp table and by the wall. Must remove the old rags and dirt under the pie cooler. Must clean inside and under the drink cooler next to the pies. All microwaves must be cleaned. All equipment in the back must be cleaned to remove all grease on the outside. All food in coolers must be covered at all times. Must keep all the rags in one spot. CLOSED – 0 ** Hinze BBQ 3/18/26 – 1. Back open. Grade – 100

The Austin County Retired Teachers Association met at Tony’s Restaurant in Sealy on Feb. 12. After a delicious lunch, President Janet Montgomery welcomed a large crowd to the meeting. After the pledges to the American and Texas flags, members welcomed the guest speaker, Dr. Bryan Hallmark, Superintendent of Sealy ISD.
