Peters Hall, located north of Sealy on Trenckmann Road, will come alive on Sunday, May 10 with the annual Mother’s Day event. Since 1963, families have enjoyed barbeque dinners, live music, fun and fellowship at this historical hall built in 1898-99 in the Peters Community.

The Bluebonnet Master Gardeners of Austin County are pleased to present a Bonus “Lunch-NLearn” edition to the Spring series to be hosted on the third Tuesday in June. While many may be attending the Rock the Country festival in Bellville, Sealy voters are urged to allow their voice to be heard to determine the next Place 1 council member during Saturday’s general election. The seat was left vacant after Dee Ann Lerma had reached her term limits and three candidates have filed for the position.

The Brazos Independent School District Board of Trustees are considering a community survey to determine the next step with Proposition B renovations planned at the school district. Brazos ISD Superintendent Dave Plymale said he is working on the survey and plans to distribute it to the Brazos ISD area in the coming weeks.

County residents lined the courtroom waiting for their opportunity to let their voices be heard about the pending data centers being projected for Austin County.
