City putting finishing touches on budget

The city of Sealy has scheduled a public hearing on the proposed fiscal year 2024-25 budget for 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25 during last Tuesday’s monthly meeting “The consensus of the council was that we would keep the tax rate the same as last year,” said Sealy Mayor Carolyn Bilski.

Babes In Boxers raises awareness for prostate cancer

The inaugural Babes in Boxers fundraising event was held May 29, at Saddleback Saloon Bar & Grill to raise awareness and educate the comunity on prostate cancer. The event raised just over $2,700.
