The Bluebonnet Master Gardeners of Austin County are pleased to present the 2024 Fall “LunchN-Learn” series which is hosted on the third Tuesday of each month from August through November. Overall, the series features topics related to horticulture with homeowners and backyard gardeners in mind.
All for One Festival June 29 The second annual All for One Festival is set for Saturday, June 29 at Jacqueline Cryan Memorial Park. The event will run from noon to 10 p.m.
Members of the US Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force were able to apprehend a fugitive in New Ulm June 14. Clarence Cloud, 31, was arrested in the 1400 block of FM 109 in New Ulm and was wanted on an active felony arrest warrant out of Harris County.
Two suspects were arrested June 10 after they were thought to be selling narcotics from a motel in Brookshire. Marcus Grant, 48 and Latoya Johnson, 42, were arrested at the scene without incident.

The contractors in charge of this stage of the I-10 expansion project have been closing sections of the highway each night and reopening by 5 a.m. The lane closures in question occurred on the main lanes of I-10 going eastbound.
For as long as she can remember, Bellville native Tyann Luedke, 18, has been fascinated by what makes people tick. “As a little girl, I loved observing people and that brought my focus into sociology,” she said.
