Security audit faults one campus, three earn perfect rating

A boost from the business community is needed to fund a nearly $900,000 high-tech digital scoreboard authorized by the Sealy Independent School District board for T.J. Mills Stadium, officials said.

The goal is to have students operate the display once it is in place.

In other business during the May 20 school board meeting at Sealy Junior High School, trustees reviewed a campus security audit, censured a colleague for administrative reasons and approved special-education classroom modifications.

Allens Creek Reservoir project gains momentum

Further water security for the Brazos River Basin is closer than ever as plans for a new Austin County reservoir to accelerate with the help of the Brazos River Authority Board of Directors. Another big step forward occurred at the BRA Board of Directors meeting on May 13 with the approval of the professional services engineering contract to facilitate the development of the Allens Creek Reservoir project.
