Blinn College District, Blinn Foundation announce new scholarship program for Austin County residents

Beginning this fall, a college education will be even more affordable for many Austin County residents. The Blinn College District and Blinn College Foundation announced today a new scholarship that will provide up to $1,000 in tuition support for Austin County residents for up to one academic year.

McCaul, colleagues introduce legislation to permanently end Death Tax

This week, U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas), Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Iowa), and 161 of their colleagues introduced the Death Tax Repeal Act. This legislation would permanently repeal the death tax, which imposes an unfair and costly tax on the transfer of property, land, and other assets from a deceased family member to heirs of family farms and small businesses.
