Tennis hosts meet

The Sealy Tiger tennis team hosted a quad meet last week and competed against Brazos, Louise and Rice after another host match was rained out the week prior. Head coach Joni Baxley said this year’s team has navigated through the COVID-19 protocols but has been glad to just be able to play after not fielding a spring team before things were shut down at the onset of the pandemic.

Tigers take on Waller

Tuesday, March 2, the Sealy Lady Tiger golf team took on the Sand Hill Farm Golf Course for a tournament hosted by Waller High School and came away with a solid finish. Head coach Lonnie Goad said Linsey Dziadek performed well and freshman Kaylie Dabney did well in her first varsity golf action.

Home opener

The Sealy Tiger baseball team returned to Aubrey “Mutt” Stuessel Stadium last Tuesday night and fell to former district foe Needville 6-4 exactly one year since its last home game. Despite coming up on the short end of the scoreboard, head coach Dane Bennett said he was pleased with the Tigers’ effort throughout the competitive contest but most of all enjoyed being back at the team’s home stadium.
