The Sealy Lady Tiger soccer team was well represented with 10 all-district selections and 15 academic all-district distinctions following its best record and a second-place finish in District 20-4A. Junior classmates Destinee Castillo (co-offensive player of the year) and Kenna Killough (defensive player of the year) as well as freshman Rebeca Garza (co-freshman of the year) all earned MVP/first-team all-district honors for their contributions.
Selected Faith Academy Elementary and Junior High Students participated in the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Math Olympics in March. These students took four rounds of tests, each 11 minutes long. These scores were submitted to ACSI and ranked among the whole ACSI Area. Faith Academy is proud of all students who participated in ACSI Math Olympics and all their accomplishments.
March 26, Sealy High School competed at the UIL Academics District meet and had seven students advance to the regional meet for topthree finishes in their respective category. Altogether, Sealy entered 12 events and placed in 10 events where the seven individuals qualified for regionals.
The Sealy FFA Land and Livestock judging teams put in work at contests across the state and returned home with multiple top finishes. The Livestock Team placed eighth at the Brazos County Contest – congratulations to Avery Oliver (1st Overall High Individual) who competed with Kenna Schram, Ryleigh Gilfoil, and Grayson Oliver.
Sealy KC’s Famous Fish Fry Dinner The Sealy Knights of Columbus are resuming to a twice monthly (2nd & 4th Friday) schedule with their Famous Fish Fry Drive Thru Dinner for $11 a plate starting this Friday, April 9, at the Sealy Columbus Club (KC) Hall at 1310 Hwy 90 West, Sealy. Serving from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m.
