Residents feeling the pinch of winter storm gas bills

City officials are getting ready to feel the brunt of residents’ anger as gas bills are starting to arrive with higher bills caused by usage during Winter Storm Uri in mid-February. In social media posts, Sealy residents are venting their frustrations over the city’s handling of the gas usage and now bills for that usage during the winter storm.

Children of all ages hit Mark A. Chapman park last Sunday to hunt for thousands of Easter eggs across the four baseball fields at the 10th annual Easter Eggstravaganza hosted by First United Methodist Church of Sealy. A special guest also made an appearance to put the icing on the cake.

Sfter losing its first 10 of 11 games, the Sealy Lady Tiger softball team has now won six games in a row including the first two in district play. Sealy opened its District 24-4A slate with a 15-5, run-rule win over Wharton at home last Tuesday and followed that up with a 9-4 win over Navasota on the road the following day.
