The Sealy FFA Meats Team placed 3rd at the Prairie View University CDE with Wyatt Erwin 3rd High Individual and Ansley Owen 9th HI with Jackson and Brady Burttschell.
The Floriculture Team placed 4th at PVAMU with Brooke Baber 6th High Individual, Cheyenne Schwaller, Alana Lindsay, and Avery Schalla.
The Sealy FFA Chapter’s Applied Ag Engineering Team competed at the TAMU Invitational placing 5th in their heat and 10th overall with J Rodriguez 14th high individual, Noah Shirley, David Saldua, and Rafael Gomez.
Sealy FFA traveled west to Wrap up San Angelo Stock Show. Both the JR and Sr Livestock Teams earn Reserve Champion honors.
The Junior Team includes Atalie Petrash 4th high individual, Ainsley Oliver 11th, Hunter Hinze 20th and Levi McNeely.
The Senior team includes Ryleigh Gilfoil 5th high individual, Kenna Schram 6th, Sydney Petrash, Elena Hernandez and Sarah Siska.
Historical Society to meet Feb. 22
On Feb. 22 at 7 p.m., the Sealy Area Historical Society will hold a meeting at the Sealy Historical Park Museum at 211 East Main St.
The public is invited to hear Charlie Wade present about Broomtown, the Sealy Broom Factory, and the Engelking family.
Refreshments will be served.

The Thirsty Thursday Networking event will be held at State Farm Virginia Gilbert’s office 4:30-6 p.m.

Historical Society to meet Feb. 15
The Sealy Area Historical Society is holding a meeting on Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. at the museum located at 211 East Main Street. The public is invited to hear Charlie Wade speak about the old Sealy Broom Factory and Broomtown founded by the Engelking family.
