In December, Brazos High School band students Megan McFarland and Chloe Flores placed high enough at the All-Region Band auditions that they advanced to the Area Auditions last week at Alice High School. While neither advanced to the All-State Band, both Megan and Chloe placed in the top 10 in class 1A-3A.
Brazos competed in the Regional UIL Congress Debate Meet today for the first time. Fabian Castillo is the 2nd alternate to the state meet.
On Oct. 25, Wallist KJZT junior and senior members cleaned and changed out flowers at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church Cemetery. This is done prior to mass being held at the cemetery for All Souls Day.
The Sealy News sponsored an Angel Tree for the Oaks and Silverlake Retirement communities. Gifts were distributed to the residents after being donated by residents of the Austin County community.

The Frydek Catholic Daughters, Court Our Lady of Faith no. 2607, recently delivered Christmas gifts to the residents of Silverlake and The Oaks Retirement Homes.
