Somehow the snow is a little like Christmas. We can expect it. We can listen to the television weather and expect it. But still, when it comes it’s like a gift - a wonderful, unwrapped gift - because it is the wrapping.

Idon’t consider myself a person bound by tradition. Usually, I’m all about change, encouraging people to change and looking for ways to change myself. I generally think that new experiences make life both more memorable and meaningful.

From the beginning of two-a-days to battling in cold, frigid weather, the Austin County sports scene featured some of the better studentathletes in the area battling on the field of competition and in the classroom. Here’s a look back at the Sports year in 2022.

January The Sealy Police Department reported a surge of catalytic converter thefts directly from vehicles across Sealy in the past few weeks has cost victims thousands in replacement costs. Thieves have been known to slide under cars or trucks and remove the device within minutes, often in search of the valuable platinum, palladium and rhodium inside.

Residents show off spirit year-round Look around the country this time of the year, and you’ll find many organizations and people lending a hand to residents during the holiday season. It’s quite the normal experience.
