The Sealy Lady Tigers have won their last two games after losing three in a row last week in tournament play. The Lady Tigers took on East Bernard and Van Vleck beating both of them in three and two straight sets respectively.

The Brazos Cougarettes matched up with the Columbus Lady Cardinals at the Schulenburg Tournament. Unfortunately for the Cougarettes they were on the losing end of this game but they played a really talented Columbus team.

The defending class 3A DI state football champions Columbus Cardinals and the regional finalists Sealy Tigers clashed in a controlled football scrimmage last Thursday night in Sealy. Both teams are ranked state wide as Sealy is ranked fifth in 4A DII while Columbus is ranked first in 3A DI.

St. John XXIII hosted their 3rd Annual Cross-Country Meet, Saturday, Aug. 23, at Paul D Rushing Park in Katy. Faith Academy was 1 of 30 schools that attended. Public and Private Schools 1A 6A brought their High School and Junior High runners to compete in the 8 divisions that were offered. 698 runners ran in their specific division that averaged 76 – 100 runners.
