2021 – What Will It Bring?

Dear Editor, What a question! Isn’t that what we’re all wondering? Can 2021 be better or as bad or worse than 2020? Well, to borrow a phrase from our friend at the Fort Bend County Fair, “If I could answer that, I would have a much higher paying job.” Before we worry too much about 2021, I would like to take a moment and thank everyone for all the hard work that went into putting on the livestock shows and Youth Auction Sale in 2020. Yes, it was different.

When Anderson County told residents not to assemble in groups with more than 10 people, officials got some pushback from churches. County Judge Robert Johnston said that was partly because residents wanted to meet on Sundays like they always have, but it was partly because they don’t have a way to meet online. “A lot of this county has no internet service,” he said.
