Super Bowl Sunday is one of the most celebrated sports days of the year — and one of the most dangerous on the road. The Texas Department of Transportation, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, and the Watch UR BAC program are reminding Texans that fans don’t let fans drive drunk.

Master Gardener Association to host annual plant sale

ACRTA host Christmas party to close out year

Members of the Austin County Retired Teachers Association had a fun and entertaining meeting on Dec. 11 at Brahmas on the Square, the Bellville ISD Learning Center and Museum. Members were entertained with Christmas music by Don Allphin, and they enjoyed an excellent lunch provided by the culinary arts chef and his students.

Westside High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force aided the Lavaca County Sheriff Office in securing a guilty verdict of a Hallettsville resident. Duncan Todd Davis was found guilty of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and was sentenced to 80 years.

Oklahoma man charged with threatening on YouTube to kill Federal agents and others

A federal criminal complaint has been unsealed charging Taylor Ryan Prigmore, 30, of McLoud, Oklahoma, with threatening to kill federal agents and others. “As attacks on law enforcement rise around the country, this Department of Justice will continue to identify and prosecute violent threats against the brave men and women who keep us safe,” said Attorney General Pamela Bondi.
