U.S. Marine Corps Celebrating 248th birthday Nov. 10 The U.S. Marine Corps will be celebrating their 248th birthday, Nov. 10 at 5 p.m. The celebration will take place at Tony’s Restaurant, 1629 Meyer St. The public is welcome to join the celebration as well, at no charge. AUSTIN COUNTY INDICTMENT REPORT OCT. 18 The Austin County Grand Jury returned indictments against eleven people in the Oct 18 session. Those indicted include: Danielle Cole Bauer for possession of a class 1 substance Shawn Glenn Brotherton for theft of property and possession of a class 1 substance Kadarrin Jaquan Brown for unauthorized use of a vehicle; theft of property over $2,500 but less than $30,000 Jose Ricardo Chavez for possession of a class 1 substance Megan Evans for possession of a class 1 substance Clarence Eugene Harris for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a class 1 substance Justin Wayne Krebs for theft of livestock under $150,000 Joel Isaac Saucedo for possession of a class 1 substance Andrew David Tavera for manufacture or delivery of a class 1 substance Deeago Dontrel Thomas for deadly conduct/ discharging a firearm Sterling Thompson III for manufacture or delivery of a class 2 subtsance
