WALLIS — A Plano man was arrested on multiple felony drug charges following a traffic stop in Wallis on June 24. According to the Wallis Police Department, Officer Conejo stopped a vehicle in the 6300 block of Commerce Street after it was allegedly traveling 60 mph in a posted 35 mph zone.

SEALY — The Sealy Eastside Foundation recently brought together area seniors for an afternoon of fellowship, creativity and community during its June 23 Paint & Picnic event. The gathering gave participants the opportunity to enjoy a meal, paint together and spend time visiting with friends old and new.

The city of Brookshire hosted their annual Juneteenth Celebration Friday, June 19. It was a day full of activities starting with the parade through downtown Brookshire. The grand marshal was DJ Chose.
