Cat Spring woman arrested for murder

The Austin County Regional Special Response team arrested a Cat Spring resident March 19 for an active murder warrant. 

Laura Elie, also known as Laura Bursell, 55, was located and arrested in the 16500 block of Sycamore Road in Cat Spring.  

The Austin County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, DPS Texas Rangers, and DPS Dive Team took part in the investigation.
