Wigfall earns fourth at state

Sealy High School senior RJ Wigfall earned fourth place at the UIL Theatrical Design Competition in Costume Design against schools from Class 1A to 4A. His designs from this year, as well as the state-qualifying designs from last school year, were on display at Sunday’s public performance of the One Act Play’s production of Stoneface, which similarly won fourth place at the state competition. Adamcik earns degree

Amber Victoria Adamcik, the 2016 East Bernard High School valedictorian, graduated from Texas A&M University, College of Agriculture & Life Sciences, in College Station with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Genetics on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 12:30 p.m. She graduated with an overall 4.0 GPA, summa cum laude honors.

Goad represents at nationals

As only a freshman, Sealy High School alum Madeline Goad and her Blinn Junior College teammates competed in the program’s first appearance at the NJCAA Women’s Golf Championship in Daytona, Fla. last week. The team registered 13th place out of 19 teams at the four-day tournament played at Plantation Bay Golf and Country Club.

Reese commits to Baylor

Bellville junior running back Richard Reese recently announced his commitment to play football for the Baylor Bears after his high school career. Reese announced he received an offer from the Big 12 school last Monday, May 10, then announced his commitment to Baylor May 13 in a written statement.

Five earn academic all-state

Body
Brazos High School had five seniors honored with academic all-state distinction from the Texas High School Coaches Association and Texas Army National Guard when the lists were announced May 6. To be honored, student-athletes, trainers and managers had to be a senior in good standing with the team, of good moral character and had maintained an overall grade point average of 92 or above in all classes from grades 9-11 and courses completed in grade 12.
