A group of Brazos High School senior students visited Texas State Technical College in Rosenberg last week. They got a tour of the campus and the many programs they offer.
The Sealy Tigers basketball program went through a season of rebuilding this past season but still the Tigers had three players recognized to the all-district teams that were announced.
Earning a spot on the first team was Kallan Hendry, who averaged 15.1 points and 2.1 seals per game during the district campaign.
Sealy had two players named to the honorable mention team. Leading the way was Ronnie Thrasher, who scored 10.1 points per game and Hale Demaree, who averaged 7.1 points per game and hit on 18 three-pointers during the district season.
With more than 540 players on 45 teams this year, the Sealy Little League held its opening day ceremonies Saturday at BP&W Park.
Here are some of the opening day numbers for the season: 540 players, 45 teams, 150+ volunteers, 35 umpires and 22 games on opening day.
