AUSTIN COUNTY INDICTMENTS MARCH 27

The Austin County Grand Jury returned indictments against nine people in the March 27 session. Those indicted include: Roderick Cook for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon Lyvan Ferro-Plasencia for fraudulent use of identifying information with 50 or more items and fraudulent use of credit or debit card 50 or more times Cameron Wayne Herzog for driving while being intoxicated for a third or more time Jacob Timothy Janish for two counts of invasive visual recording, producing sexual performance by a child under 14 and possession of child pornography with over 500 visual depictions Damedrick Deshawn Lane for possession of a controlled substance Chirstopher Leon Mancle for possession of a controlled substance Glenn Allen Meyer for indecency with child involving sexual contact Nicole Yvetta Miller for possession of a controlled substance Xander Lee Richard for possession of a controlled substance Rafael Porras Salinas for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon Jonathon Stilwell for possession of a controlled substance Teresa Lourdes Tamez for theft of property with two or more previous convictions.

Wallis High School reunion April 20 The Wallis High School reunion will be held Saturday, April 20 at the Wallis American Legion Hall. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. with meal at 5:30 p.m. Tables will be arranged and decorated for each class year. This year’s 50th anniversary classes are the final WHS graduation classes of 1973 and 1974.

District champs dominate District awards

It’s a lot harder trying to distribute awards fairly when one team has completely dominated across the board. The Lady Tigers recently had several players awarded with All District honors this past week, and unsurprisingly didn’t have the entire squad recognized as Sealy’s girls went undefeated all district season for the first time in history.
