The Blinn College District has named Dusty Hart the new head coach of its legendary baseball program. Hart comes to Blinn with more than 20 seasons of collegiate coaching experience, including the previous 16 seasons in which he served as head coach at Grayson College (Denison, Texas.) During his head coaching career, Hart has compiled an impressive 623-280 record, which includes the 2008 NJCAA Junior College World Series championship.
A nail-biter finish saw Sealy High School down to the wire 28-28 during the Schulenburg Hoops Summer League single-elimination playoff tournament, but a lastsecond point ended the Tigers’ run. A sense of urgency permeating the gym June 29 had the Tigers picking up the pace compared to exhibition play in previous weeks, but it still wasn’t enough to take the Fayetteville High School Lions by the whiskers.
For the first time the Sealy Soccer Program hosted youth in the Austin County area for a fun-filled Sealy Soccer Camp. Elementary and junior high students extracted their energy on the Sealy High School fields while learning the game and getting to show off their skills.
The Texas Girls Coaches Association recently announced their 2022 Track and Field post-season awards. Esmeralda Garcia and Sophia Vykukal, of Brazos High School, were named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association 2022 Class 3A All-State Track Team.

After in the Needville High earning first-place honors School seven-on-seven qualifying tournament, the Sealy Tigers roared into College Station for the state showdown June 23. The Tigers went 2-2 in pool play, falling to Fort Bend Christian Academy Eagles in a single-elimination game Friday morning at the tournament.
The average daily attendance (ADA) of students last year was 2,622, which is 40 students more than the previous year, but the Sealy Independent School District would like to have the attendance rate back to 96%, as it was before COVID-19.

The Tiger Stage Theatre Camps hosted kindergarten to incoming seventh grade students for their annual “kiddie camps” from June 21 to 22 at Sealy High School auditorium. The first day theme was Broadway Buddies, where students performed a musical and the second day theme was Acting Out, where students performed a fairy tale.
