Corporation and former chief executive officer sentenced for health care fraud, tax conspiracy

KBWB Operations LLC, doing business as Atrium Health and Senior Living (KBWB-Atrium), and Kevin Breslin, former chief executive officer and managing member of KBWB-Atrium, were sentenced yesterday, in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin following prior guilty pleas to health care fraud and tax conspiracy related to the operation of numerous skilled nursing facilities, the Department of Justice announced.

Is God Dead? Evil and sin

This week, we begin to investigate five possible reasons God allows evil to exist, which can be extracted from the biblical text. First, the Bible is quite clear that God allows evil to exist as a form of punishment for sin. Second, some evil comes about due to the consequences of others’ sin. Third, some evil comes about due to the consequences of evil done by spiritual beings. Fourth, the biblical text indicates that God allows evil to exist as a pathway to the greater good. And fifth, the biblical text suggests that some evil is beyond our finite human ability to understand.

Three local children waiting for their Make-A-Wish dreams inspire this year’s Fantasy of Lights theme Sealy’s beloved 39th Annual Fantasy of Lights Celebration returns December 4–6, 2025, and this year, it carries a message deeper and more powerful than twinkling lights and holiday cheer. This year’s theme, “A Wishful Christmas,” was chosen in honor of six local children who are currently waiting for their wishes to be granted through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
