Emery’s Buffalo Creek Winery Weddings and Events Venue in Bellville held its annual Sip and Shop Bridal Show last Sunday, Jan. 31, to highlight local vendors’ offerings to those soon to be wed.

Sealy Knights of Columbus Council 3313 recently presented a $562 check to Pat Penner, director of the Sealy Pregnancy Resource Center. The money came from a portion of the Sealy Knights of Columbus’ Jan.

The Austin County Fair Association is pleased to announce the 2021 Austin County Fair Association scholarship application is now available to all graduating high school seniors in the county. Applications are due to the fair office no later than the first Friday in April, which falls on April 2 this year.

At the end of last week, the time finally came for the demolition of the building formerly known as the Rooms 4 Rent Motel on Highway 36 in Sealy and the lot has since been turned into an empty plot of land. The property was purchased by local businessman John Wilson in November for $508,000 and the Sealy Economic Development Corporation contributed up to $200,000 for asbestos treatment.
