Thank you, Cole, for creating this quick reference column in the Sports pages. Those of us who do not have school-age children any longer, but care about our local teams may not retain how any one school’s soccer, tennis, baseball, etc., team has been doing throughout the season. Your column begun this year is a great help in feeling up to date and to be knowledgeable when speaking with or encouraging individual sportsmen and women. I also enjoy the colored sports pages. Thanks.

You stated “Jennifer Sullivan took it upon herself to make budget amendments.” That is false. One council member cannot “make budget amendments.” I prepared a RECOMMENDATION suggesting budget cuts to avoid dipping into reserves by $860,000 to balance the budget. The city council UNANIMOUSLY approved the suggested budget cuts with revisions. The city manager had the opportunity to raise objections or make changes to the suggestions, but did not do so. City council was in total agreement.
