With the 87th Texas Legislature preparing to convene in January, Sen. Lois W. Kolkhorst (R-Brenham) as Chair of the Senate Committee on Health & Human Services, conducted the state’s first public hearings on COVID-19 recently.

When Brazos ISD students resume school following winter break, they will no longer have the option to enroll in remote instruction. Superintendent Brian Thompson announced last Tuesday the district will discontinue its virtual program.

Last week marked the beginning of the Sealy Education Foundation (SEF), a non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the instructional program for students in Sealy ISD. Extension Education Association of Austin County, which is a part of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, sponsored an educational program entitled Thanks for the Memories, which was conducted by Doris Glenewinkel of Bleiblerville EEA.
