The unofficial results from the March primary election showed that Austin County voters followed along with the state’s lead on a majority of the state-wide races
Looking at the unofficial results, numbers showed:
In the race for Rep. U.S. Representative District 27, Mike Cloud received 2,637 votes to Chris Hatley’s 1,469 votes
Early voting numbers showed that Austin County voters turned out strong for the primary elections.
Republican voters cast 2,727 early votes to the Democrats 613 votes for a total of 3,340 early votes.
