Developer updates future ‘Oxbow’ subdivision COM The Brazos Independent School District school board elected the unopposed trustee candidates, received an update on the future ‘Oxbow’ subdivision, approved a new administrative position and more during its meeting, Wednesday, March 26. BOARD ELECTION The board elected Position 1 school board trustee Jenny Stroud, Position 2 trustee Tammy McCain and Position 3 trustee Justin Richardson as the unopposed candidates for the May 2 school board election.

Roecker indicted by grand jury on felony theft charges

When Ryan Roecker resigned his post as athletic director and head football coach for the Brazos Cougars in July of 2024, many questions were raised as to why this decision was made at that time. Those reasons might have come to light late last week when Rocker was taken into custody by the Wallis Police Department following being indicted for felony theft by the Austin County grand jury during its October meeting.
