While the game of football may have originated on a cold Autumn day in 1869 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, nobody does Friday Night Lights quite like the State of Texas. It’s in our roots. You can ask anyone from Brownsville to Canadian or El Paso to Port Neches, and they’ll tell you that high school football is more than just a game to Texans. It is a way of life – a tradition and identity that is woven into the fabric of communities throughout the Lone Star State.

Throughout the Biden administration, Texas suffered from an unprecedented wave of illegal migration resulting from the president’s failure to secure our southern border. Texas was forced to step up, and Gov. Greg Abbott created Operation Lone Star, a multi-pronged effort to try and secure the border. Earlier this year, Abbott asked Congress to reimburse our state for the $11 billion that he should never have had to spend to keep Texans safe as millions of migrants illegally entered our country.

DPS officers arrest thousands of undocumented immigrants

As illegal border crossings plunge, state police are shifting their energies toward aiding the Trump administration’s mass deportation effort.
