Sealy: A Town Infused with Faith

Body
On Tuesday, May 20, I embarked on a journey, fully trusting the Lord to direct my steps. I had been planning to spend the day in Sealy, with a few ideas in mind about where to visit and who to connect with. However, by that morning, I had yet to hear back from those I’d reached out to the week before, and the friend I was planning to meet for lunch had an urgent family matter come up. I considered rescheduling the day, but instead, I spent some time in prayer—asking the Lord to guide my steps and connect me with those in the community He wanted me to meet.

Small moments can make a big difference

Reality does not always match up with fantasy. My fantasy, once I finally sold my first novel, was that I would print my book in hard copy (which I never do) and carry it out of my office and go somewhere with it— maybe a coffee shop! I would sit at a table in a coffee shop and read my manuscript on real paper with a red pen in hand and review it with care, while sipping my coffee, thoughtfully editing a chapter or two a day until I was confident that everything was to my complete satisfaction.
