Beloved father, grandfather, uncle, and brother Timothy Wayne Derks, Sr., 64, of Sealy, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at his home in Bellville, TX. He was born August 7, 1958, in Long Beach, California, the son of Everett “Malcom” and Vivian Derks.

PHILOMENE “PHIL” SAHA 1927- 2022 Philomene “Phil” Saha, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Mother- in-Law, and friend to many, passed away peacefully and gracefully at her home surrounded by family at the age of 95. Phil was truly part of “the greatest generation” and lived a full life true to her Faith.

TILLIE STUCHLY 1927- 2022 Tillie was a simple country girl born to Jim and Mary Rosenauer in Moulton, Texas on December 16, 1927. Tillie attended school thru junior high in Moulton and then stayed home to help take care of her brothers and sisters, seven children in total born to Jim and Mary.

CHERRY E. MILLER 1941- 2022 Cherry E. Miller, age 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 23, 2022 at home. She was born January 12, 1941, in Kokomo, to Harold and Faith (Hunt) Patterson. She is a 1959 graduate of Greentown High School.

Brent Merrett Burton, 51, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on December 11, 2022, after a life-long battle with many complex medical conditions, beginning with his diabetes diagnosis at age five. His family was told that he’d never live to see a teenage year. Obviously, they had never met a person like Brent before, as he exceeded numerous expectations through countless surgeries and diagnoses.

Alice Agnes Faldyn, of Sealy, TX, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2022, at the age of 85. She was born on April 28, 1937 in O’Quinn, Texas to Cyril and Martha Muras.

Barbara Elaine Kageler McElroy, 80, a longtime resident of Sealy, Texas, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022 in Houston, Texas surrounded by family. She leaves behind her daughter Kim Rychlik and her husband Johnny, and her two sons: James McElroy and his wife Nancy and Scott McElroy and his wife Stephanie.

Jerry Wayne “Butch” Goebel, 73, of Millheim, Texas, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022, in Sealy, Texas. He was born September 21, 1949, in Bellville, Texas, the son of Alfred and Bonnie Sternberg Goebel.

We are very sad to announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Evelyn Ann Hruzek of Sealy, Texas on December 8, 2022, at the age of 89. She was an amazing person who was an inspiration to all who knew her and loved her. Evelyn was born on July 2, 1933, in Hallettsville, Texas to Joe and Pauline Mozisek Janca. She married Raymond Robert Hruzek on February 23, 1954, at St. Mary’s in Hallettsville, Texas. She was an outstanding and dedicated mother who lovingly raised her five children. After the passing of her husband, Raymond; Evelyn forged ahead, centered by her strong work ethic and an unwavering faith in God. She is survived by the luckiest family in the world including Daughter- in-law Christine Hruzek of Eagle Lake, Janice Raska (Tim) of Wallis, Douglas Hruzek (Peggy) of Rosenberg, Richard Hruzek (Rita) of Wallis and Kristie Cruz (Bobby) of Bellville.
