The Thirsty Thursday Networking event will be held at State Farm Virginia Gilbert’s office 4:30-6 p.m.

This event is free to attend, and no RSVP is needed. All are welcome.

Historical Society to meet Feb. 15

The Sealy Area Historical Society is holding a meeting on Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. at the museum located at 211 East Main Street. The public is invited to hear Charlie Wade speak about the old Sealy Broom Factory and Broomtown founded by the Engelking family.

There seems to be no stopping the Sealy girls this season as they continue dismantling district opposition, battering Navasota 5-1 at home, Feb. 9.

Another hard-fought battle against the district’s top brass ended in heartbreak for Sealy Feb. 8, losing 2-1 to Navasota at home.

The Sealy Lady Tigers are heading to the Class 4A basketball playoffs after finishing off their season with a nice 50-41 victory over Brookshire Royal in the district finale. “We went into overtime to get a nice win over Royal and that was good for the team,” said Sealy Head Girls Basketball Coach Brateicka Mock.
