The Faith Academy Lady Knight volleyball squad finished its season with a fourth-place finish at the Texas Association of Independent Athletic Organization’s (TAIAO) 1A State Championship held at Round Rock Sports Complex.
The Faith Academy Lady Knight volleyball team hosted the Talitha Koum school last Tuesday and earned a sweep with set scores of 25-12, 25-18, 25-19. Head Coach Deborah Boudoin said the team continues to improve each match.
Faith Academy cross country runners traveled to Tomball to race in Rosehill Christian School’s meet at Spring Creek Park Saturday, Sept. 11. The park offered shaded trails for the two-mile course. Cooler temperatures in the morning helped the runners with that extra boost of energy.
Friday, Sept. 10, the Faith Academy Knights hosted their first home football game of the young season at SAB Stadium in Bellville with a meeting of 2-0 teams. The Northside Lions were visiting and eventually won 52-40 after they capitalized on some late mistakes.
The Faith Academy Lady Knight volleyball squad opened last week of play with a sweep of The Connection School before it split a doubleheader against Weimar Friday to move to 6-5 on the season. In Faith Academy’s 3-0 win over Connection (25-9, 25-19, 25-14), head coach Deborah Boudoin said the team is learning from its mistakes and shows growth in each match.
The Faith Academy Knight football team opened its season in thrilling fashion with a 47-44 win over Beaumont Legacy Christian Academy, a Class 4A school. The Class 1A Knights jumped out to an early lead after a 58-yard pass from sophomore quarterback Noah Figueroa to freshman Travis Woodley on the first play from scrimmage.
The Faith Academy Knight football team traveled over three hours for their final scrimmage of the preseason to face Bulverde Living Rock last Friday. The Knights continued their success on the field with outstanding play on both sides of the ball.
The Faith Academy Cross Country Team went to The Woodlands Christian Meet Saturday, Aug. 21, and faced a true cross-country course with sand, mud ditches, branches and hills. There were 21 teams at the meet.
The Faith Academy Lady Knight volleyball squad split last week’s action with a win over Royal and a loss to Sealy JV in non-district play. The Lady Knights took three of four sets (25-19, 16-25, 25-21, 25-13) from Royal where head coach Deborah Boudoin said the team took a step forward.
