Fay Marie (Schluens) Johnson, 81, passed away to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. Fay was born September 17, 1940, in Sealy, Texas, to Fred Charles and Evelyn (Goebel) Schluens.

Robert Lane Emshoff of Sealy, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 21, 2022, at the age of 70. Even though a failing heart took him away from this world, his loving heart left a beacon of light for his family and friends.

Emalyn Hintz Buchtien passed on to be with her Savior Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. Emalyn was born in Sealy, Texas, on March 7, 1930, to George and Florine (Hartsfield) Hintz.

Louis Trant Jordy, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away May 19, 2022, in Santa Marta, Columbia, where he had been living with his loving wife Ruth Lopez Jordy for the past year. Memorial services were held May 25, 2022, at Peace Gardens in Santa Marta, Columbia, where he was laid to rest.

Kathryn Margaret Briggs Sweet, 92, daughter of Harold D. and Margaret Lenz Briggs, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2022, with her children beside her.

Marie Betty Aline Gondron Larriviere went to be with our Lord in Heaven on May 19, 2022, at the age of 94. Betty was born in Broussard, Louisiana on April 6, 1928, to Henri Gondron and Aline Borel Gondron. She was the second youngest child with three older brothers, an older sister and a younger sister. She was Baptized into the Catholic faith on May 6, 1928, at Sacred Heart Church in Broussard. Betty married her Saint Cecilia high school sweetheart, Andrew Jules Larriviere, Jr. (Sonny) on May 29, 1948, in Broussard. They moved from Louisiana to Pasadena, Texas in the early 1950s where they had three children, Janet Donna Larriviere born on February 11, 1953, Patrick Andrew Larriviere born on March 17, 1958, and Andrea Julie Larriviere born on August 5, 1961.

Mary Jane Parsons Mahaffey entered this world on September 26, 1951, to parents Marilea Boles Parsons and Billy Parsons, in Pecos, Texas. She departed this world on January 25, 2022, at the age of 70, in Katy, Texas.

Carlene Mary Heiman, 81, of Wallis, Texas passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022. Carlene was born on January 10, 1941, in Galveston, Texas.

Josephine “Jo” Augusta (Witte) Blaschke, age 88, of Hallettsville, Texas, formerly of Frydek, Texas, passed away on April 6, 2022, guided home to the Lord by her faith and the prayers of her loving family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Hubert “Earl” Blaschke, her parents Elton and Hettie Witte, her siblings Marcelene “Ann” Mohr and Elton John “E.J.” Witte, Jr., and grandson Alex Blaschke. She is survived by her loving children Valerie Schulze (Dale) of Pearland, Lynn McGray (Larry) of Spring Branch, Lesa Graff (Paul) of Flower Mound, Michael Blaschke of Texas City, Suzanne Majewski (Clarence) of Robinson, Patrick Blaschke (Rhonda) of Splendora, Diane “Dia” Louise Blaschke of Houston, Scott Blaschke (Diane) of Hallettsville, and Duane Blaschke (Sandy) of Sealy; grandchildren Lauren White (Ben), Heather Schulze, Jeremy McGray (Shawna), Theresa McGray, Zachary McGray, Jennifer Graff, Megan Graff (Victor), Molly Blaschke-Hall (Corom), Caleb Blaschke, Thomas Blaschke, Shelby Blaschke, Domonic Majewski (Camille), Tasha Majewski, Rachel Majewski (Randy Steed), Luke Blaschke, Stephanie Blaschke, Heather Nesheim (Mike), Ben Sage, Ash Sage, Katie Wilson (Liam), Joshua Blaschke (Gabbi), Meagan Blaschke, and Jacob Blaschke; greatgrandchildren Autumn White, Paige White, Ryvers McGray, Bryce McGray, Alexander Lauzon, Melanie Lauzon, Grace Graff, and Rylie Metzler; siblings Dorothy Witt, Elaine O’Dell, and Conrad “Buddy” Witte; sisters-in-law Linda Witte and Vernell (Blaschke) Brooks Ritter; and many loving nieces and nephews. Jo was born July 9, 1933, in League City, Texas. She spent her joyful childhood bonding with her siblings Dottie, Ann, Elaine, Buddy, and E.J. as they regularly moved across Texas, thanks to her father’s work in the oil industry. After graduating high school, Jo received calls from Earl Blaschke while he attended Texas A&M University. Their love blossomed quickly, and she converted to Catholicism to wed the love of her life in 1956. Together, they built the joy of her life—a family of nine children. She could often be found cooking large meals and sewing clothes. Jo was very involved with the church; she served as president of the Altar Society, taught Sunday School, made kolaches and sold BBQ sandwiches for parish festivals, and loved praying the rosary. Later in life, Jo loved going sailing with Earl; and after he died, she enjoyed being on the water with her children to honor his memory. Jo cherished being with her grandchildren, attending their activities and having them visit her over the summer. She could never get enough of Texas A&M football, cooking shows, game shows, Scrabble or scrapbooking, though her favorite pastime was gardening. She had quite the green thumb and won the Yard of the Month award from the Hallettsville Garden Club. Through it all, she remained a devoted prayer warrior for her family. Her Rosary service was held on April 12, at 7 pm, and was led by Deacon Joey Targac of Hallettsville, Texas. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church/ Cemetery in Schulenburg, Texas, officiated by Reverend Scott Hill and directed by Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg, Texas.

Shirley Ann (Schroeder) Callahan, 83, of Sealy, Texas passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022, in Bellville, Texas. Shirley was born in Sealy, Austin County, Texas.
