Carlene Mary Heiman, 81, of Wallis, Texas passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022.

Carlene was born on January 10, 1941, in Galveston, Texas. She grew up in Beaumont, Texas, and was in the French High School graduating class of 1959. While at French High School she was on the debate team and studied photography. As part of her extra-curricular activities, Carlene joined the Melody Maids Choral Group and participated in a USO entertainment tour, to remote air force bases in Europe and Iceland, in her senior year.

Carlene married Clyde W Heiman, the love of her life, on December 23, 1958, and they were married 64 years. They were blessed with five children: David Wayne, Chana Kaye, Glynis Elaine, Bradley Scott, and Deborah Dannette. These wonderful children blessed Clyde and Carlene with sixteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, with one more due in August 2022.

In her professional career, Carlene became an accomplished Executive Search Recruiter. When the family moved to Anchorage, Alaska, (where Clyde began work with ARCO Alaska at Prudhoe Bay) Carlene opened her own business, Network Professional Search and Network Personnel. Later expanding to include Network Top Talent Temporary Personnel. The highlight of that endeavor was being the recipient of an excellence award for operating a personnel business in strict accordance with the applicable Alaskan rules and regulations.

Other accomplishments throughout her career included Resident Manager for Northwest Tech Services (NWTS), in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, where she managed contracts with Arco Alaska and Sohio Alaska Petroleum Co. in the Prudhoe Bay field, and Arco Alaska in the Kuparuk field. She provided human resources coverage for over 265 NWTS personnel. Additional responsibilities were added when NWTS was awarded the contract for providing personnel from every construction discipline to receiving, installation, final construction, completion, and startup of the Saltwater Treatment Plant (STP) when it arrived from Korea. Other accomplishments included engineering and in-plant technical support sales and services.

Anyone who knew Carlene knew that she was a loving, supportive, loyal, and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother. Carlene approached this responsibility like a mother hen, always in a protective mode.

Carlene was proceeded in death by her father Carl Glen Kilgore, her mother Mary Evelyn Kilgore, her sister Phyllis Lucille Kilgore, and her brother Phil George Kilgore, all of Beaumont, Texas. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 64 years Clyde Wayne Heiman, her sons David Wayne Heiman and Bradley Scott Heiman, her daughters Chana Kaye Luedke, Glynis Elaine Cutbirth, and Deborah Dannette Haight, her sister Brenda Mae Glover, her brother Harry Herschel Kilgore, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, from noon until 2 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 6120 Gresham St., Wallis, Texas 77485.
