LOUISE FRANCES JUREK SMIDOVEC

Louise Frances Jurek Smidovec, age 78, Oct. 7, 1946 – Dec. 19, 2024. She gained her angelic wings during her favorite holiday. Born and raised in Sealy and blessed to spend her childhood growing up in the home that formerly served as the rectory for the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She loved shopping at garage/ rummage sales and thrift stores, finding treasures to wear and share. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

She leaves behind her loving spouse, Martin Reyes. Her children: Mary (David) Houlihan, Michael (Janie) Smidovec, Melissa Lowry, and Cory Teague. Her grandchildren: Ashlyne (Mark) Ball, Alexis (Kyle) Christian, Kiele (Chris) Houlihan, Jace Pike, Xavier (Taylor) Teague, and Kaleigh (Angel) Teague. Her great-grandchildren: Emmett Ball, Parker, Kylie and Emma Christian, AJ and Leightyn Jones, Bruce and Emmett Pike, Amelia and Ava Hernandez, Jaxson Wheeler. And numerous loving nieces and nephews and grand ones too!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Frances Jurek, her son, Eugene Smidovec Jr, and her husband, Eugene Smidovec.

A Celebration of Life will be held at on Sunday, Jan. 26 from 1-4 p.m. at the Frydek Hall on the St. Mary’s Catholic Church grounds at 10471 Grotto Rd in Frydek.

Donations in remembrance can be made to her favorite non-profit thrift stores: Redeemed & Restored and/or Good Samaritan in Sealy.
