Kay Ann Brune Latona was born Aug. 31, 1943, Santa Cruz Calif. and died Nov. 2, in San Miguel de Allende Mexico.

She was the daughter of Jane Hicks Brune and Dee E. Brune and graduated from Sealy High School in 1961. She attended Wellesley College and graduated from the University of California Berkeley (PhiBeta Kappa)1967. She then graduated State University of New York at Buffalo Law School 1974 She was the first woman to practice trial law in Buffalo and first woman to be a partner in a major law firm in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

She is survived by husband of 61 years Jack Latona, sister Rebecca Brune, daughters Jane Diseker (Roger) and Sara Samuelson (Paul) and three grandchildren.
