FRANCES JOAN GAJEWSKI STASTNY 1929- 2024

Frances Joan (Gajewski) Stastny passed away April 15 at the age of 94 in Katy. She was born Dec. 3, 1929, in Mixville, to Frank and Louise (Orsak) Gajewski. She attended school in Mixville and Sealy High School and eventually received her GED in 1969.

Frances married Frank James Stastny on Nov. 15, 1948, and remained in Frydek, where they eventually raised seven children. Her life was filled with love of the church and family, Czech music, kolaches, animals, and a passion for sewing and crocheting.

She is survived by daughters Patricia Kalinowski, Donna Lux (Glen), Doris Lubojacky, Kathleen Kovar, Debra Alvarez (Antonio), and sons Ronald (Roscoe) Stastny and Richard Stastny.

Grand children Stephen Mieth, Sandy Blaschke, Sherri Miller, Russell and Amanda Lubojacky, Jamie Webster, Kelli Kalinowski, Brandon Kovar, Ashley Ray, Kristen Cernosek, Hunter, Madysen and McKenzie Stastny.

There are 16 greatgrand children.

She is also survived by her brother Victor Gajewski and wife Betty, Marie Stastny, Mary Lou, Barbara, and Nancy Gajewski.

She was predeceased by her husband Frank one day prior to their 40th wedding anniversary, parents and grandchildren Nikki, Ryan, and Troy Kalinowski, and son-in-laws David Kovar and Virel Kalinowski, by her sister Clara Stastny, brothers Clem, Joe, Eugene, and Steve Gajewski. Sisters-in-law Lorease Gajewski, Stasie Mlcak, and Bernice Lamp. Brothers-in-law Cyril, Ludwig, Arnold, Alois Mlcak.

In lieu of flowers donation to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St Mary’s Catholic Cemetery or Burttschell Rescue Ranch.

We greatly appreciate everyone that helped Mom the last few years, including neighbors, Mildred, Henry, Gayle, Ethel, and Ray.
