LILLIAN KOLAFA

Lillian Kolafa went to her final resting place on Aug. 11, 2024, in Katy, at the age of 90. Funeral services were held at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis, Texas on Friday Aug. 16, 2024, at 11 a.m.

She was born on Oct. 15, 1933, in Wallis, to Jake and Mary Jungbauer Kolafa. She graduated from Wallis High School in 1952. She spent her life working on the family farm and being an excellent caretaker. She didn’t have children of her own, but helping to raise Ben and Lucy was her pride and joy. She loved yardwork, canning, baking, sewing and playing dominos. Her favorite was raising her big garden to share with everyone. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her sister Mary Ann Hudgens of Wallis, brother Victor Kolafa and wife Jo Ann of Orange City, Florida and numerous nieces and nephews. Also, her extended family Dennis, Margaret, Ben and Lucy Pustejovsky of Wallis.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, grandparents, brother Eddie and wife Lillie Kolafa, sister Aileen and John Drozd, sister Rosalie and Jerry Miculek, brother Lidge and Helen Kolafa, brother Jerry and Judy Kolafa, brother-inlaw Ernie Hudgens and nephew James Kolafa.

Pallbearers will include Dennis Pustejovsky, Michael Doerge, Terry Noe, Timmy Kolafa, David Kolafa and Joey Kolafa. Honorary Pallbearers are Ben Pustejovsky, Lucy Pustejovsky, Michael Drozd and Frankie Kolafa.
