Bellville Medical Center is pleased to announce that long time area practitioner Amye Lilljedahl, PA-C is joining the BMC family effective Feb. 1.

Receiving her bachelor’s degree in biology and psy chology from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Lilljedahl attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in Dallas and earned her master’s degree completing her physician assistant training. Lilljedahl has vast medical experience to bring to not only Austin County but also the surrounding counties with five years of Orthopedics and five years in OB/ GYN in addition to 25 years of pediatric and adult medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants.

Lilljedahl and her husband David Bockhorn, a senior vice president at the Bank of Brenham, have two daughters who are both in the medical field. Lauren is a second-year surgical resident with Southwestern Medical School at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Kate is a second-year veterinarian student at St. George University in Grenada, West Indies, and hopes to specialize in exotic animals. The family enjoys scuba diving, hiking, traveling and exploring.
