This year, World Spay Day took place February 22. Prevent Unwanted Pets (PUPS) observed this day by approving free spay and neuter surgery for 132 Pitbull and Pitbull mix dogs; the most overpopulated and euthanized breed in America. Fewer unaltered pets mean fewer unplanned and unwanted litters. We would like to thank veterinary clinics, the media, volunteers and pet owners that helped make World Spay Day 2022 a local success.
