The National Weather Service announced a Special Weather Statement Monday afternoon.

“At 2:25 p.m., doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm eight miles north of San Felipe, or 10 miles east of Bellville, moving southwest at 15 mph,” the statement says. “Winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with this storm.”

Locations impacted included Sealy, Bellville, San Felipe, Pattison, Monaville and Cat Spring.
