We are a family that has lived in Sealy for seven years.

Our family includes four boys involved in the local Sealy boy scout troop and are writing this letter to you on behalf of our communications merit badge.

This merit badge asks for a troop member to communicate to an editor about an opinion we have. We are writing to you to express our opinion about the local pool.

A shift in the air has become prevalent in Wallis, with residents becoming more involved with community engagement and government involvement. The Sealy News ran a first edition in late March, highlighting three seats up for contention, contested by council newcomers and incumbent members for the upcoming city council general election on May 4.

Rogers bids farewell

Brazos Superintendent Scott Rogers admitted last week it was a hard decision for him to leave Brazos for Brooks County but in the end, family was the main reason for the move. “Making the decision to go to Brooks County was a decision that was focused on my family and that I am going back to what is called home,” Rogers said.
