Syble Laverne Clayton - McGrath, age 74, was called to heaven on June 25, 2022, in Katy, Texas. Syble was born on July 5, 1947, to Stella and Jesse McRae in Leona, Texas.

She married her late husband Eugene Clayton on December 22, 1962, in Angleton, Texas. They had four children together. He was her rock. She loved him dearly. Eugene lost his battle to cancer April 12, 2004. Syble was heartbroken.

Syble found joy in her life again when she met Joseph McGrath. They married October 28, 2013, in Bellville, Texas. She loved him so much.

Syble loved to dance and spend time with her grandchildren. Family was very important to her. She Adored Ronnie her brother-in-law.

Syble is preceded in death by her parents Stella and Jesse McRae; her late husband Eugene Clayton; her sisters Margaret Sherbit, Shirley Vaughn, Rosie Powell; and her brothers Jack Powell, Sam Powell, Larry McRae, and Jimmy McRae.

Syble is survived by her husband Joseph McGrath; bother Willie McRae; mother-in-law Lunes Rostrom; children Randy Clayton Sr. of Bellville, Texas, Olin and Mary Weems of Sheridan, Texas, Greg and Linda Stewart of Bellville, Texas, William Clayton of Bellville, Texas; and grandchildren Brandy Clayton, Randy Clayton Jr., Jeremy Clayton, Cory Clayton, Joshua Stoker, Kenneth Weems, Amber Clayton, Crystal Konvicka, Davis Stewart, Ashlei Clayton, Kaci Field, and Lane Clayton. She has twenty-three great-grandchildren and one baby girl Feild’s to be born October 2022. She also has two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation Services were held on Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by the funeral service at Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel, 768 Fourth St., Sealy, Texas. Interment took place at 12 p.m. at San Felipe Cemetery, 4902 Campo Santo St., San Felipe, Texas.
