Myra Deannine Rainer, 39, of Sealy, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024, in Sealy surrounded by her family.

Myra was born Aug. 10, 1984, in Houston, the daughter of Dwayne and Lois Rainer. She grew up in Sealy and graduated from Sealy High School in May 2002. Myra was active in the high school band and played volleyball and softball.

She had a very compassionate and caring soul. She enjoyed taking care of her nieces and nephews. She was the caregiver of Cutter and Kenadie Kaye for the first nine months of their life. They would come home every day with a full report of what they ate and drank along with several pictures from an impromptu photoshoot.

She took Kersytn Hanath to a mommy and me class but let it be known that she was not the mommy. She would watch Blaine Hanath from time to time. There was never a dull moment. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, crafting and fishing. Her passion was playing competitive travel softball.

Myra is survived by her mother: Lois Rainer of Sealy; sister: Shannon Hanath and her husband, Kevin, of Bellville; sister: Laura Kaye and her husband, Stephen, of Sealy; nieces and nephews: Kerstyn Hanath, Blaine Hanath, Cutter Kaye, Kenadie Kaye, Devin Kaye. Loving boyfriend: Justin Sturm; and her furbabies: Willie and Lola.

She is preceded in death by her father, Dwayne Rainer, aunt Pennie Kelley of Louisiana, uncle Steve Rainer of Louisiana, grandparents Eugene & Esther Rudloff of Bellville and Duey and Marjorie Rainer of Louisiana.

Pallbearers were Blaine Hanath, Cutter Kaye, Justin Sturm, Justin Cooper, Ryan Johnston, and Gerald Sturm.

Honorary Pallbearers were Kerstyn Hanath, Kenadie Kaye and Devin Kaye.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 30, at the Schmidt Funeral Home in Bellville.

A Funeral Service followed at 1 p.m., at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Phil Fenton officiating.

Interment was held in the Millheim Cemetery.
